"Education is the manifestation of the perfection already in man"— this is a very famous quotation of Swami Vivekananda. This quotation was originally part of a letter written to Singaravelu Mudaliyar (Kidi) from Chicago, United States, dated 3 March 1894. The letter was later published as a prose in the Complete Works of Swami Vivekananda and was named What we believe in. Relevant portion of the prose is - "Education is the manifestation of the perfection already in man". Religion is the manifestation of the Divinity already in man. Therefore the only duty of the teacher in both cases is to remove all obstructions from the way.

Training of teachers is the key to impart knowledge, values and cultures from generation to generations. The quality of the youth and students depends upon the quality of the teachers. Train the teachers, develop them and equip them with skill to cope with the changing environments and changing requirements of the profession and they will eventually produce their replicas in forms of brilliant students. It is also important to keep in mind that only trained teachers can not be held responsible for the quality of the entire education system, students also have to motivated and interested in benefiting from their teachers. Some other factor will also have to be considered. In short training and developments of the teachers is the first and most important steps in enhancing students' performance.
